1 2 NextMany readers already know about the SPCR-certified Quiet Gaming PC from AVADirect Custom Computer. This was by far the most 3D graphics capable PC we've certified. After the success of their first submission, AVADirect decided to send us an even more powerful PC, based on the same system as before, but with one major difference: An ASUS DirectCPU II OC GTX680 graphics card.

As the system is identical in almost every way to the previous sample from AVADirect, you can scan through that review for more details of the components. The star of the show is the single difference, the ASUS DirectCU II OC GTX680 graphics card, which ASUS claims is "20% cooler and 14 dB quieter" than the reference nVidia cooler. AVADirect felt this system was actually quieter than the previous one with the Gainward Phantom GeForce® GTX 560 Ti 2GB card.
The AVADirect Quiet Gaming System with GTX680 is housed in the NZXT H2 case.
Here's a shot of the interior from the side and below the bottom panel. The Megahalems heatsink with dual fans and the huge ASUS DirectCPU II OC GTX680 graphics card dominate the interior. |
As in the first system, there are a total of 10 fans in the system, all carefull speed reduced and controlled to minimize noise while providing good cooling..
