PHYSICAL DETAILS
The Evo ECOPC measures just 178 x 195 x 40 mm (7.0 x 7.7 x 1.6"), with a total volume of only 1.39 liters. Its size is more or less typical for a nettops these days.

The ECOPC's casing is square and metallic. Aside from the horsepower inside, its main limitation is connectivity. The back panel has only basic ports: DVI, VGA, RJ45, line-out, and 3 x USB.

There are an additional two USB ports at the front as well as line-out and mic connectors. The LED ring around the power button lights up blue when the system is on, and a portion of it flashes red when the hard drive is in use.

Inside sits an Intel mini-ITX board with two SATA ports, an 44-pin IDE connector and a PCI slot, though there is only one 2.5" drive bay and no PCI riser card or cutout at the back.

An Evercool 40 mm sleeve bearing fan is positioned right above the CPU and chipset heatsinks, acting as an exhaust.

The fan is attached to the hard drive tray. Our sample shipped with a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 640GB.

The board inside is an Intel D945GSEJT with one SO-DIMM slot, supporting up to 2GB of DDR2 memory. Though you can't use a PCI card due to case limitations, there is a free mini PCI Express slot available. Useful add-ons include a WiFi adapter or Broadcom's Crystal HD video decoder.
