PHYSICAL DETAILS (Continued)
The EC1803h features a crisp 1366x768 display, a comfortable keyboard and trackpad,
and decent all-around build quality.

The glossy display is similar to that of the Asus Eee PC 1005HA-P, but it's brighter, bright enough to use outdoors in a pinch. (Editor's Note: If you can avoid the glare off the high gloss finish, it might be doable for short periods, but best avoided.)

The hinges appear to be metal, but they are actually painted chrome.

The screen can be pushed back to an angle of about 150 degrees.

Like most netbooks/notebooks purchased in Canada, the keyboard layout
is bilingual (a PITA). Many manufacturers are no longer offering
US English layouts to Canadian suppliers/retailers.

The touchpad measures 7.0 x 3.7cm and the left and right buttons are raised
slightly. The palm rest is fairly solid with only a small amount
of flex when squeezed. The status LEDs on the left side are small and
unobtrusive. This is a nice touch as most notebooks have bright, distracting
LEDs.

Underneath on the left side are flip switches to disable/enable WiFi and
Bluetooth (despite the fact that this model lacks Bluetooth).
