No, that's not what I meant. The "backplate" is the metal thing on the bottom of the motherboard under the the socket for the CPU. Execpt, on Gigabyte's motherboards, they're plastic, and the instructions say to replace that one with a metal one that you can get. Problem is, they never say where! OR...

Where to buy backplate for xp-120 for Gigabyte Motherboards?
Question is quite simple...WHERE???
My google skills are usually very high, but I have recently decided to go with a gigabyte board and now need that backplate for the XP-120. Where do I get one? Help!!! This is really getting me frustrated.

Volara instead of Sorbothane?
a simple question here...
I have been able to get a hold of some spare volara, and was wondering if it was safe or as efffective as Sorbothane for resting Hard Drives on? Is there anything I should watch out for?

Ok, now this may be crazy :? I live in a small apartment, and the most convient place for the computer is in a section of the desk that was designed for a mid-tower. It is possible for me to cut a hole into the panel that the computer is sitting on? I can't get clearance if I raise the feet by about...

Cutting a hole in the bottom of the case for intake
I am wondering if this would be a good idea for an inderect airfow setup. I have an Antec 3000b, and I have a few questions? 1. Would it actually be worth it? 2. If it is, wold there be nough airflow through the hole at the height the feet are at (it would be on a hard surface) 3. And if this is wor...

Passive cooling on a GeForce 3
Long time lurker, first time poster... I'm ready to make the first step in making a quiet computer. I have a GeForce 3 and was wondering if an Alpha PAL 8045 (It's old and I have one for free - not that the GeForce 3 isnt!) would be fine, or if it's overdoing it and I should just get a newer cheap p...
