Re: Question...

Realtek doesn't have much of a name as a high quality audio solution... or at least it hasn't. Have they been improving their audio quality substantially, or is this board losing points right from go? Personally, I'd have been more impressed if they'd included via envy 24, c-media, or (sadly exitin...

I gave in and bought the Zalman copper heatsink/fan, because the standard heatsink was ok, but not great. I actually took the fan out of the 6600GT, and am running it fanless until my new heatsink arrives It's OK, but it doesn't like playing games for more than 15 minutes. The screen just freezes an...

Is it the AlCu or the Cu that you have that's not very heavy? Is there a site comparing the AlCu to the Cu, as the Cu version is a fair bit more expensive?

I've bought the AGP version of the MSI 6600GT card. Will I get load temps of over 80 deg with this card? And has anyone tried it with ExperTool?

Thanks

Website comparing 6600GTs?

What was the website I saw a while ago that compared noise and performance of 6600GT graphics cards, and the Galaxy one came out on top in terms of noise?

Thanks

Thanks guys. I might do the Zalman-Panaflo combo. I haven't even got my graphics card yet, I'm in 2 minds over the 9700 Pro or 6600GT.

I've just seen the price of the heatpipe.. eek! I sure hope it will last me a long time!

Thanks again

Does a heatpipe with 120mm fan exist?

Does a graphics card heatsink with a 120mm fan exist, or is it possile to make one?

I would rather if it could fit almost any type of card to make it future proof, but this might not be an option.

Thanks

Leadtek 6600GT - How quiet?

How quiet is the Leadtek 6600GT with stock fan?

If it's undervolted, is it quiet enough to be inaudible over a Panaflo L1A?

Would undervolting it to this level of noise safe?

Thanks for any help

I've also spotted a 9700 Pro for £96 inc delivery as well as the 256 bit 9800SE for £102 inc delivery. What would be best value and easiest to cool (assuming the softmod will work!)?

Or should I wait a few months for prices to drop?

Is the stock ATI fan loud or quiet?

Would the OC 9800SE 256-bit with stock ATI fan be quiet from stock if put in my system? I have a Nexus NX3500 PSU and undervolted Panaflo L1A CPU fan. If not, then what would you recommend, bearing in mind that I'm softmodding it to a 9800 pro. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/9700_to_9800_Ser...

That is a great feature. I'm a bit of an overclocker but I'm always worried about overheating when it comes to CPUs. GPUs seem different, as they soon tell you what speed they don't like!

Is there a motherboard available that supports Soundstorm and PCI Express grahpics?

Also, why don't people look at other manufacturers like Leadtek and Galaxy for the 6600GT, as they have almost the same noise output, but don't overheat as easily as the MSI?

Thanks.

The loudest component in my system is a Nexus 3500 power supply. Will I notice the MSI on top of that? In another thread you say it's like a silencer on high setting.

Thanks. I'm quite interested in heatsinks if they can be futureproof for about 5 years or so. Then I would get a good one. Are there any recommended ones?

I'm after AGP yes, if it offers value.

Fastest card with stock fan below 40dBA?

I'm after a card that's as fast as possible with noise at less than 40dBA. I don't want the added expense of modding unless the heatsink or whatever is futureproof with all future cards. I don't want to go close to the point of overheating. What are my options?

Thanks for any help.
