thanks for the reply. as for problem #2, i have both fans pulling out the air, the cpu fan pulls the hot air from the heat sink and the case fan pulls that air out. sorry if it wasn't clear earlier. I don't think i can do option 2 because my hard drive blocks my from fan. For option 3, i'm not sure ...

first time creating a cpu duct...need advice
i decided to give ducting a try but i'm not seeing that much of an improvement on my cpu temps. This is my first time creating a duct so i need as much advice as possible on what to do correctly. I didn't have a lot of material to choose from so i just used cereal paper and scotch tape. I read that ...

I had to modifiy my NB47J so that it would fit with on my MSI Neo4 mobo and my x800XL. I looked at my temp thru speedfan and my bios and they said the temp was roughly around 33C idle. however, i recently got a fan control and it came with a temp probe. I put the temp probe in the middle of the NB47...

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that my hard drive jumped from 25C to 31C. My northbridge temp is at 33C. Everything is pretty much stable...no random lockups or reboots. I have both the front and rear as intake fans. I pretty much left my whole case stock expect for the fans and my modified heatsin...

Need advice on removing my case's mesh grill
I got the Lian Li V-1200 case for a couple of months now and it's awesome. I was reading some mods of this case and most of the people cut out the mesh grill for the rear 120mm fan. I recently switched my rear fan from an exhaust to an intake fan and i also removed the external air duct for the fan....

I think the main reason why i my case temp is so high is because the summer heat is beginning to take in effect. My room itself gets pretty stuffy so that's probably contributes to the case and the rest of the componets getting hot. I'm using Speedfan to measure my case temp however i do have temp p...

should i be worried about my x800xl temps?
I recently replaced my stock heatsink to the VF700-CU. I ATI Tray tools measuring the temp and right now the idle temp seems to be around high 40's, low 50s. I ran Farcry for 30 mins and i saw that my temp jumped up to 75C while my cpu and case temps were around 45C. I have the fan running at 5V bec...

I'm curious to know if my X800XL will work in the PCI x4 slot? I originally had it in the x16 slot but it won't fit now because of my NB47J heat sink. i attached a picture below. http://student.ucr.edu/~ajaw001/computer.jpg as u can see, the heatsink gets in the way...i can't even put the graphics c...
