it says right on the motor, samsung drives usually come packed in clear plastic so u can tell right away.

If i'm correct there are two motors, nidec and jvc.

I ran it to the side vent, the entire case ifeels alot colder now but so far cpu temps only went down 1 c. its been running for only 5 mins though.

I'll post alot of info about this card for you guys in like a week after my finals. So far though, after playing guild wars for mannnnnnnny hours the temps got up to 85 top. I took my 1614c out of the drive bay, took the drive bay out completly and placed the hd upside down on some foam.
