Well, in the meantime I'll report on my impressions of the Theta. Installation: As easy as can be. You connect a 4-pin molex, temperature probes, USB cable, and 3-pin fans. It mounts by default in a PCI slot, but doesn't actually plug in to the motherboard. It just mounts there for convenience. Plus...

Hi all - I recently bought the Sunbeam Theta fan controller for my new build. It looks great on paper - controls up to 8 fans with up to 8 temp sensors. My system is as dead quiet as I can get it (I have four 120mm fans and 1 80mm fan all running ~600-900 rpm, suspended hard drive, blah blah blah), ...
