Hello Jimmy, A little bit o' glue should do it! Did you check the polarity? Or, maybe one of the pin sockets is loose? yo, I'm certain the polarity is right. Actually it is really odd lately! I thought the LED was permanently busted, but it came back on last night! and for what ever reason, it is o...

I saw a note on the forum that the PSU might not work with Socket A motherboards. Is that true, even with the "fixed" versions? I have an Abit NF7-S nForce2 socket A motherboard, and I want to buy a P150, if it will work with my current setup. I have the exact same board and yes the PSU works with ...

OK. After a long month of scrutiny, I finally broke down and bought a P150. Coming from a SX1030 user, this case is tiny! It almost feels uncomfortable to fool around in there. Not to mention, my SLK-947U heatsink fan clip is touching the bottom of the Neo HE. Oh yea, I scraped my hand while trying ...

That is true but I just like my case to be well ventilated. Both of these cases offer great airflow managements, you cant go wrong with either one. Also don’t expect anyone to tell you which one is better because there is no simple answer, however noise wise P150 is the winner. Thanks for your inpu...

Thanks for the replies. I did notice the P180 supports another front fan. However, how much noisier would the system be with quad 120mm's versus one 120mm and two 92mm fans? I think you are on a wrong direction here, It doesn’t matter how many fans the case supports, it matters how many you will us...

P150 versus P180 case cooling
Apparently, they are both quiet. However, I like the appearance of the P180 better. I have two concerns while deciding between these two cases. 1. Which provides better overall cooling? I noticed that while the P180 cools the CPU extremely well, it seems to have trouble cooling the motherboard chips...

Have you tried turning off the computer and try touching the hdd? if it is 40 C, it should feel a little warm. 60+ would feel fairly hot. I don't really trust the sensors anymore. For some reason, my drives are shown as 20 degrees each. (One hooked up to a sata slot. The other IDE slot.) I know this...

Well. I finally broke down and got it. My first Western Digital drive: WD3200JD. My initial impressions is that the drive is very quiet. I'd have to say the seeks are as quiet as my maxtor diamondmax 9 with AAM on. I didn't even touch AAM on the WD yet! I can't really comment on the idle noise becau...

What I suspect is happening, is the semi-sharp edges and sometimes components on the bottom part of the hard drive are perhaps 'sawing' into the rubber as the drive is slid in or out. I was very careful with that aspect on mine. I could see that happening rather easily. I suspect that moreso. I act...

Imagine a business that bought the P150 instead of a Titan 550 :P I think the P150 was built borrowing ideas from SPCR and was more of an enthusiast thing. Would anyone with mission critical data suspend their hard drives at all? The snapping cords are a definitely a disappointment yes. They shouldn...

Thanks. I'm think I've made up my mind to get a WD3200JD now.. They got no NCQ, no 300MBps, no 16 mb cache.. but they are supposed to run cool and quiet and reliable.. maybe.. Unless Samsung 300GB drive comes out next week in a local store, I think I'm just gonna get a Western Digital based on the r...

I really don't know where I got the impression Samsung is unreliable. I think some of them came from this site? On another note, wasn't newer Samsung drives whiny and noisier? Anyway, I really dont want anything less than 300GB, and 400GB is out of my budget. my philosophy was to get a drive near do...

Thanks for your responses. I just kept getting ideas from people and friends that WD isn't reliable anymore.. but those people probably don't have sufficient airflow across their drives. Yea, Samsung drives are not on my list because 1) no 300GB model available 2) lots of problems regarding them pos...

Re: Need advice
Now I can also get a P150 without worries. Well, I have some semi-bad news. When I moved everything over to the P150, it didn't start up- green power led on the board just blinked on for an instant. Oddly enough, I had forgotten to plug in a couple fans (via an Aspire fan controller), and after plu...

New HDD purchase - very confused
I plan on getting a 300GB SATA hard drive (no bigger, no smaller) and were considering the following 1. Western Digital Cavier SE WD3200JD 2. Maxtor Diamondmax 10 6L300S0/6V300F0 3. Seagate 7200.9 ST3300622AS The purchase should be based on reliability first. Then based on noise. Then based on opera...
