7850: Sapphire and MSI, which one?
hi all :) I want to buy a quiet 7850, it's enough for games i usually play. I'm choosing between MSI RADEON HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC and Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC; here the italian shop: http://www.drako.it/drako_catalog/index.php?cPath=485_520 Same price (here), different out-of-the-box clock, bu...

Re: Samsung 830 questions
Don't worry about TRIM performance restore, it's very good in Samsung 830 and Corsair Performance Pro, especially the latter, and the former has a better software supplied called Magician.

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
I understand it fine overpriced 10 year old design with gloss finish that looks like crap in 6 months. I'll take the Define R3 which goes on sale for $80 has more fans, more space for harddrives and no gloss finish. For $130 I would rather spend $20 more and get the P183 which blows this case away. ...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
It's disappointing to me. I expected the PSU can be moved to the bottom. Majorly disappointed to expensive and not even close to the bang for the buck of the Define R3. The design is still obsolete for modern system. Maybe you have not understood the meaning of this case. IT IS still the best COMPA...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
Can I just say... too little too late? Also, very expensive for what little improvement it brings. I mean, the Define R3 is superior in every way AND costs less. Antec is losing its touch. Define R3 is clearly inferior when it comes to build quality, effectiveness of fans and so on. R3 is only supe...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
With the original Solo, some users had problems with cheaply constructed power and reset buttons. This isn't the case on the Solo II. Both buttons are sturdy and slightly recessed. No problems with accidentally toggling the wrong button. The power button is pushed easily enough when desired, and th...

Re: Antec Solo II is not too bad
Anandtech review it: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4730/antec-solo-ii-sonata-evolved Unfortunately, a fairly ignorant review IMO I agree. Re: Antec Solo II is not too bad
My P150 is sturdy and well builded, i can not find one as strong and compact. It miss space for a powerful gfx card, and for a good psu ventilation. Solo II seem to solve this issue, but with some compromises. Anyway i can't see it on Antec site, some time ago it appeared, now disappeared... re-thin...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
It might be ok for my needs... a modest gaming machine with 250W max power consumption, maybe 200W. Minimum size for ATX, not yet another transformer-like case but a classy one, not huge, no grids-for-dust everywhere. Positive pressure is possible, no acoustic foam is needed. Apart from it, what els...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II
Top vent with fine mesh for optimal PSU air intake Now that makes this case a bit more attractive. Now it's possible to build a positive pressure system since the PSU has its separate intake. But no word on filtered PSU intake? The top vent is visible here. Why hasn't it been shown before? I think ...

Thank you for the help mates, the fortress seems a good choice. The raven series seems a good choice too, even if ugly. They can be placed on the floor, which probably i will.

The case of the damned case, AKA the ballad of sad PSU
Prologue: after 3 years, my psu is almost dead. PSU on top don't work more for a ...

For my needs, so IMHO, i can't see a good case (white, hell yeah i said it, WHITE!) in Antec list.
The only thing that unites this SoloII to the P150/Solo series is the name.

Actually i'm using a Noctua NH-U9B 92mm fan. It work with socket AM3, too.
It's not a 120/140mm fan equipped, but i think it will be enough, anyway nobody reach 100% wattage on the cpu. Bench apart

A "little" AMD Phenom II upgrade, 425W for the job
Hi folks! I want to do a platform upgrade in my P150, i think i will buy new ram+cpu+motherboard. I have enough money only for these components. I'm thinking about AMD Phenom II X4 955 - Black Edition (dunno if step c2 or c3, i can't choose during the shopping), a motherboard Asus M4A89GTD...
