Re: Replacement for my Fanless PSU

Hi, I'm in doubt what to do. My Silverstone ST30NF PSU decided to break down after 2 years of continuous operation JUST outside the warranty period. Silverstone says that offers 3 year warranty for the ST30NF Good catch! :D I did some research and it seems this is also valid in the Netherlands (whe...

50 degrees C sounds mighty high. What are your CPU temps like? I'm pretty sure if it would be subject to that kind of abient temps the psu fan would ramp up pretty fast. My SP2504C is running 24/7 for the past 20 months between 52 and 59°C. No problem whatsoever. This has been the case in 6 other PC's I know of and none of them failed yet.

I wouldn't worry too much about high Hard drive temps :)
After all, they're designed to operate at 60°C.

Cool! I've got the exact same case since last week for my new HTPC. Still tweaking everything, and just ordered the GPU and NB heatpipe systems because I am not happy with my temps (I need it to be 100% stable and confident it doesn't die on me watching a movie ;) ). But when I see yours I get a bit...
