Agreed! Abit IP35 Pro Should be added!
I have used the IP35 Pro for over a month now. I am definitely enjoying the silence provided by the uGuru utility. The autodrive function allows different profiles to be loaded for different programs (Games, GIS applications, CAD - all user definable.) Really nice for gaming. I can tolerate more noi...

I've been messing with CystalCPUID this evening. The chipset allows full software control of voltage and multipliers. The bios has plenty of OC options. I'm actually running it undervolted and underclocked to see how hot it'll get running with minimal fans.. Running my A64 3000+ (E6 stepping) @ 1.22...

I just built a system using the Biostar tforce 6100... It has plenty of overclocking option, passive cooling, PCI-e, geforce 6100 integrated graphics etc. Check it out at NewEgg.com. It is a pretty clean install really - and it has a reset and power switch on the mobo!! That is a nice feature if you...

I'm currently running the artic freezer pro on an 3000+ venice core. I can barely hear the heatsink (even with a side panel off!!) with the fan running at its current speed and my idle temp is 29*. The fan carries a 6 year warranty - you will probably throw it away before is goes out of warranty. Th...

I am running a phantom 500 currently with no ramping, even while running stress tests. I don't have a P180, but I've ducted my old Antec 1080B. I seperated the PSU bay and the 5.25" bays from the rest of the PC with solid foam insulation. There is a small area for the neccesary cabling to pass throu...

You could always build a PWM type fan regulator. If you do not want to waste power, it is the way to go. It is more complex than resistors or diodes, but it is mor efficient. I cannot verify this, but I have read that at lower voltages fans actually draw more current that at higher voltages. With a ...

What mTX boards would you recomend for a socket 939 system? Would the Tforce6100 (939 version) be OK? I also have some ideas to run by you guys... I've been reading through the forums quite a bit, and have found my new "home" on the internet. The ideas in this forum and the willingness of people to ...

Sorry for writing the post like that. I am actually looking for some advice or critiques or suggestions. I've been reading about silent PC's for awhile, and am looking at taking the plunge. Basically, I want to keep the rebuild under $500.. So thats 500 for a new PS, mobo, cpu, fans, heatsink and an...

Silent and Efficient Build...
A while ago, I posted some stuff about looking into a low-power (consuming) CPU. I was tempted to go with the pentium M desktop boards, or the Asus CT-478 adapter. The advice I got was to stay away from that setup - lack newer instruction sets, and the higher cost of the CPU's, adapters and desktop ...
