I have one of these. its running XP (just) and about all it can cope with after that is winamp, which is just fine cos thats all it has to do :)

its reasonably quiet, though i cut away the restrictive fan grills and that helped.

I like the idea of the outside box while keeping the basic structure of the old metal case. The raw wood and metal look on this is sweet, very slick, I like!

Re: Making the best out of it: P180 (Dialup Warning)

The only thing I really have to complain about now is Abit not allowing for some way to turn the blasted red LEDs off on the motherboard ;) Yeh, I have an AN8 with red LEDs all over it too.. the only ones that really bugged me were the ones near the twin exhaust fans cos they would shine out the ba...

Not an option...kosts 95 dollars more than Leadtek PX6600GT TDH here...expensive...and heats up alot...So i just want to know which is quieter-Silencer ...

Nope, I haven't done any other mods to it. This is only for very hot weather, not needed mostly. I could use a 12" house fan, but I'd rather have that aimed at me :) Bringing the inlet to the top sounds like a good idea. I'll be looking into that. Thanks J.

Extra Cooling for Zalman Reserator

I've got a Zalman Reserator 1 Plus and during summer when the temps got a bit hotter (like 40+ C outside) my system was running a little on the hot side, so I made a ghetto fan booster for the Reserator tower. It's pretty slack, but it does the trick on hot days. I only stick it on when I need it co...

Hah, that's pretty rad. I actually built my own ghetto version of that a few months ago (at the beginning of summer after a few HOT days and high CPU temps). It's pretty slack, but it does the trick on hot days. I only stick it on when I need it cos it just slides right off. The fan is sucking the a...

I have an ABit AN8 and i think i ended up taking the mobo out to get the northbridge waterblock on. I remember it being painful, but it did fit, though like you say, the push pins did not go straight in.

PC Case Gear and Scorptec are pretty good :) Can we start a distributers section here as well? For anyone that works at a computer related company its usually pretty easy to get an account with any of the distributers, and getting wholesale is a sweet sweet thing  for distributers I'd say www.a...
