Yes, the Freezer 64 Pro is compatible to the AM2 bracket, and there are no 120mm heatsinks for AM2 yet afaik. I will get a NB47J; forgot to put that. As for the video card, the VM101 is a larger heatsink and cools better than the factory passive one. I'm not planning to buy anything by Sunday; I mig...

Really nice. Try removing the bottom 7cm fan and one front 120mm, then moving the 120mm to the middle. Seems too many fans for me... 10! That's insane.

Hi picture_perfect, No, I didn't record before/after temps. I had no way to, as the motherboard is sh!t and doesn't support temp monitoring. I left the HDD in the stock cage to provide a heatsinking effect, as I don't want to have to lose all my data and programs to an overheated HDD. By the way, I'...

Up for examination today is a Celeron 1000MHz system, that has been infected by the too-loud bug. Its owner, yours truly, has attempted to make the computer as quiet as possible. I was inspired by Isaac Kuo partly, and by the copious amounts of foam slabs my art teacher gave me. http://img386.images...

the 4th wire isn't necessary IIRC. Try connecting it through the Fanmate. However, you need to cut away the casing on the fanmate's male connector for the 4-pin fan connector to fit.

I like the ones that fans in Dell are mounted with. The fan Dell uses is sufficiently low vibration to not require them, so I remove and reuse them from any Dell I fix.

The more I look at it, the Gigabyte 3D Aurora seems like a great case. The 2x 120mm fan mounts in the rear open up all sorts of ducting possibilities, I was thinking of a duct to the CPU with the top mount, and a normal exhaust fan in the bottom mount. I also have the distinct impression I am talkin...

new Gigabyte case - interesting

It appears that Gigabyte is getting into the cases market. I spotted this on Newegg today. It looks interesting for silent computing IMO. 120mm front and back, and grommets for WC tubing.

I looked more carefully at the pictures on the web of the Evercase 4252, and I believe that the clearance between the motherboard and power supply is insufficient to mount an XP-120 on my choice of motherboard (Biostar N4SLi-A9). I haven't much idea of what would be a good case, though. Scratch the ...

The CM PSU would more than likely be quieter, as it has only one fan. An intake duct would certainly help. The 350w should have no problem powering your system.
