Quiet NAS model - recommendations?

I want to buy a network drive with at least 1TB capacity and use it to store document, photos and my iTunes library. I don't want to do any home builds, just buy something and configure it. On the other hand, I don't want this thing to be noisy. Can you recommend something?

My wife's Tecra A7-114 is clearly audible from 1 m. The sound is a smooth woosh.

Neither did they complain about slavery, or flogging in the Navy.

Have you considered using the Bernoulli's effect to measure the air speed? Just make the fan blow into a long tube with a pressure meater built in in the side.

Fanmate 2 breaking the fan RPM monitoring?

I've installed Zalman Fanmate 2 on my AC Freezer 64 Pro CPU cooler. After I turned out BIOS fan speed control, the RPM reported is always around 1700, no matter what is the Fanmate setting. Is it possible that the Fanmate fails to report RPM properly to the motherboard?

Yeah, it *might* be the problem. So it seems the MB connector to the POWER LED gives higher voltage than the HDD LED connector... surprising.

Shoot me, but I like my white case :D It's different from all the rest and a nice touch on the "old days" when all cases were light beige.

HDD LED not lighting up in Antec P150

Hi, maybe you can offer me some hints on what could be going on: I have a Gigabyte K8NS Pro socket 754 mobo in Antec P150 case. I've connected all LED wires to the mobo but the HDD led is not lighting up (tried both polarities). When I connect the said LED to the 2-pin POWER connection on the mobo, ...
