What do you mean by that? Isn't Valeo semi-passive and generally quite quiet when the fan kicks in?

Having disassembled "old" (non-sleeved) S12-330, I can say that there are some rubber thingies (circular, gasket like) glued over fan's holes. Yet, annoyed by not-so-quiet, tractor-like operation (like winguy already mentioned), I've mounted the fan on rubber 'spikes' - noise is considerably fainter...

Could anyone who had anything to do with the said case elaborate a bit on it, please? Can it be considered more or less silent/quiet with its fans set to minimal RPMs or quite the opposite? What the sensitive ears of the forum members think about it?
