I was considering buying either the Samsung F4EG 2TB, or a Hitachi 5K3000 2TB drive and was looking for some noise results on the Hitachi drives.

Few tips: Run all wires you dont use behind the psu where there is a tiny open space. Run the front fanel wires through the top of the HD cage between the bottom and top cages. May be a bad sensor, my old 80gb 5400rpm WD silvertop read high high 50s while my other 80gb 7200rpm ran in mid to upper 30s under load. While the WD was hot, it wasent high 50c. I'd go with the bad sensor.

Do the touch test. (or check temp from cold boot, and make an offset)

I have the same board, chipset cooler, and CPU HS (SI-97), and on my NF7-S v2.0 I get around 50c loaded on my 3200+ stock at low-mid 80s ambient. I have the Zalman 92mm fan @ 5.5v~ with the resistor that came with it.
