I would buy conroe regardless, b/c of the performance, but this is like icing on the cake

u dont hack off parts
just take off the cover and u usually have like an inch of air room
but as for PSU, what about this:

I think the SI-120 would have trouble passive cooling a pentium 3 lol maybe Im being a little dramatic there, but the fins are very close together and theyre not even oriented right to take advantage of case ariflow (which is usually front to back, and on a SI-120, case airflow would just shoot over...

well with the fan up and down, the temps on processor are the same. but chipset and mosfet temps are a few degrees lower with the fan blowing up so that's how I have it. Full load on proc (at 2.4ghz, 1.47v i think), 35C, sometimes it spices to 38C. PWMIC stays around 48, and chipset around 44C. on n...

I am also getting the same temps as i was w/ my 35mm and 35dba (54 cfm) delta so im pretty happy. 40C full load here, and thats...

good video card cooler?
I have an evga 7800GTX, and I would like to know which cooler is best for it? I like to overclock and get good game performance. I might even be voltmodding this card in a month or two. So I need good cooling that can be quiet too.
I've started a poll.
Thanks!

and how quiet is the VF 700? I mean, i can go onto review sites and see that the reviewers say it is 'pretty quiet' or 'virtually silent', but I trust the judgement of the ppl here. If someone on a review site says its quiet, I may or may not consider it quiet. if someone on SPCR says its quiet, the...

yep I will definitely post before and after temps right now my airflow is pretty bad but I'm going to be building a new case from scratch so I should have great airflow there if I design it right. and thanks for the welcome. I spend most of my time over on EOCF (extreme overclocking forums) but they...

http://www.svc.com/svcompucycle/1202512l.html sorry for double post one last check, the fan above is the same one as in taht user review right? Ah thanks well considering the globalwins are only $6 at SVC, i think i might order a few to play around with. Also, my 54cfm fan keeps my processor at 33C full load (like 48 hours of folding) at stock granted when overclocking it heats up a lot, but this chip doesnt seem to overclock past 2.2-2.3gh...

Neil, that globalwin you linked too looks really good at 40cfm its 14cfm less than what i have now, but alot quieter. Maybe I can counteract the fact that the fan has less cfm by doing a ducting mod so it gets cool air. But how well does it perform on an XP120, since thers alot of fins and stuff? th...

good fan to replace the one on my XP120
Alright Im running: X2 3800 (at stock right now but i would like to overclock and stay quiet) DFI Ultra-D XP-120 35dbA, 54cfm delta fan (those are the specs at 5v. I dont dare run it at 12v) So I was thinkin about swappin out the CPU cooler But I can save some money by just swapping out the fan, so ...
