Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II

Probably (another) daft question, but I want to buy a SSD, and have decided on the Crucial M4. I have no idea how exactly the SSD attaches to the case in the dedicated SSD mount, so can anyone tell me if it matters whether I get the regular M4 or the slim version? If both fit fine, I thought I'd get...

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II

Ah, so that's why they're that long! Good to know that I can snip/shorten them after installation. Thanks a lot.

PS I promise to visit more often

Re: I give you the ANTEC SOLO II

I'm sorry if this is a daft question, or has already been asked (it's late here and I'm very tired), but every time I look at a picture of the rear case fan I find myself wondering if the long rubber isolators are likely to be hitting (or possibly hitting) a big heatsink. I'm in the process of plann...

Thanks Michael! I found another topic on this forum which talks about UPS noise: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45834 Fortunately, the APC BACK-UPS RS 800VA I'm considering is listed as being a quiet UPS, provided it's not too close to you. I assume that the fan only comes on w...

I wonder if anyone can give me some help with this issue. I have to be honest and say that I haven't a clue what this simulated/pure sine waves issue is all about, but I'm in the market for a UPS so am concerned about it from reading this thread (which I found via a search). I'm currently using a Se...

Bursk, your case is definitely not right. And you are doing the right thing by getting it replaced. I hope this doesn't sour you on the case, its really quite a nice one. Mostly if you are concerned about quietness. I was surprised at how quiet it was. Of course, I did use very quiet fans and a ver...

Well, I took some photos but they didn't come out very well; perhaps not surprising considering it's black on black.

1) Remove the left side panel. 2) Now make sure the three front bezel hooks are snapped completely into the holes in the front of the case. They do snap into the holes, but it's still not flush. The bezel essentially looks like it's made from two parts - an inverted L and the straight part with the...

eoctanker, thanks for the swift response! I've done some proper measuring of the gap at the top and side of my case. When looking down on the case from a 'bird's eye' point of view, at the point where the bezel meets the main body of the case, the far right part where the two sections meet has no ga...

My Solo arrived today, and I noticed that the left-hand side panel isn't flush against the front bezel; there's a gap a couple of mm wide, and I can look through it and see inside the case. Also, when looking down at the top of the case, there's another gap of a similar size on the left-hand side by...

Pardon my stupidity, but I can't seem to grasp what exactly you did when using the zip ties to attach your fans. Obviously you put the one end through all the holes, but you then have to loop that end around so that it fastens to the other end, right? How did you do this? Do you have some pictures f...

Hello again, EsaT! You are very helpful.

For the time being, I'll only be using 1 HDD. If I do want to add any more in future, I'll make sure I measure first to check that it'll fit.

I'll also make sure I tape up the rear grille. :)

Some questions about the Accelero X2

1. It doesn't exhaust hot air out of the case, but instead blows it onto the mobo. Does this have any real world negative effects? 2. How big is it compared to the stock cooler on an X1900XT? 3. How heavy is it compared to the stock cooler? Is it safe to move the case e.g. to LAN parties, with an Ac...

Will an X1900XT (roughly 23cm long) fit in an Antec Solo

My planned build involves the above case and GPU, as well as the Abit AW9D-MAX motherboard. I already have the GPU, so before I order the other two I wanted to check that this rather long graphics card will fit okay inside the Solo. Oh, and I was also wondering if I should tape up the rear grille th...

Actually those have been in stock for well over week in here: http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/default.php?cPath=30_797 They have very good service so if anyone from Europe needs some case accessories/coolers/PSUs their site is worth of checking. I have a 712A Plextor.

Can't seem to find any 'black vinyl dye' for sale here in the UK (I did a Google search).

How do you avoid getting paint inside the drive tray when you paint the drive?

I'll have to look into that 'stealth CD plate' technique.

Thanks for the replies.

Where in the UK can I get stealth covers for the Antec Solo?

Does such a thing even exist?

I have a white Plexwriter that I paid a lot of money for, so will be using it in my new Core 2 Duo build. Obviously, I don't want to use a white DVD drive in a black case, so would appreciate some advice on how best to hide the drive.

Thanks.
