I thought that the optical drive was hidden behind a matching faceplate in the NSK2400. If not, NEC's silver-color drives look fairly good with aluminum. Hey, thanks; that's pretty cheap!

Regarding the app, I used to work in web development, and it would probably be pretty easy to make a web-based front end to an MS Access database. Just yesterday, my wife implied that she wants it done, so maybe I'll do it just for fun.

Nice build, I like it! In particular, the HDD suspension came out very nicely.

I'm not familiar with Thermaltake fans, but I know that Nexus units are nice and quiet. At 1:00AM, try disabling one component at a time (fans included), to see if you can identify exactly what is causing the hum.
