i920 @ 3.8 GHz, 1.125v, all other voltages at minimum
Asus Rampage II Gene
x58 northbridge (load), ambient is 26°C
before 60°C (yellow phase change material)
after 56°C (IC7)
So, ~4°C difference
IC7 was much easier to apply Shin Etsu G-751, which is what I normally use.

Low voltage chip like the Q9550S, but hundreds less expensive - around $250
Or, a Q9550 from Dell for $232
A Q9400 from Dell for $180 is also a good buy (read the coupon sites for dell coupons).

yes sorry..it's the VX550W
What are my fan options? Are the 1600 and 1200 RPM s-flex both good choices? Whatever fan corsair spec'd has a lot of whine, and the fan controller is quite aggressive because it kicks it to high speed any time the computer is not at idle. The VX550W was on sale at newegg; I should have purchased an...

I'd like to know the answer too
I have a new TX550W and the fan is LOUD
I'm looking for suggestions for replacement from someone who has done this
Is this the correct fan to get? (1600 rpm s-flex)

that board can do 1920x1200
They only put 1080 for marketing, to emphasize HD capability. Single link DVI ports can go up to 2048 x 1536 at 75 Hz (QXGA). What about an Intel DQ45CB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121357R&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Motherboards+-+Intel-_-Intel-_-13121357R Re...

has anyone put an arctic cooling s1 on a 260?
I'm really interested in this. I think it would work almost as well as the recent triple fan cooler they released (with appropriate sinks on the ram and voltage regulators of course).

I just got a dell 30" from dell outlet
And I have everything set to max on a GTX 260 running at 675/1150. It's fairly quiet too, more so than the ATI cards from what I've been reading.

Dell won't screw you like other online retailers. But they have tons and tons of orders for this particular card, and ship date will most likely be the 10th (what was stated for this card), and not sooner (dell usually is very conservative with ship dates).
Don't forget to order the ac1 from svc.

Both companies are still tweaking their drivers. In the first url you posted the reviewer noted on the next page that renaming crysis.exe resulted in more fps and normal image quality (http://iax-tech.com/video/3870/38705.htm). Also, their power measurement results are different that most other revi...

I had the same problem
I RMA'd my PS to antec with the same result. I then opened up the new PS and put superglue on the coils, which helped only a tad.
I tossed the PS and am now using another (FSP Green).

The latter. The machine was working perfectly with a FSP 400 Green PS, which I gave away with the NSK3300 case. The bios hasn't changed, but I will poke around anyway.lutorm wrote: Did you mean standby, or do the fans run when the computer is completely off?

I will probably use the oem Seasonic SS-300SFD - 80 Plus from my nsk3300 case; it's very efficient and should supply enough current on the 12v outputs for ...

Very bad experience with an Antec SU-380, suggestions needed
I picked up a NSK2400 case to replace a NSK3300, and the included power supply buzzed horribly. I sent it to Antec for an RMA and received an updated unit, with very short cables (12" ATX) along the lines of the oem Seasonic 300w unit in the 3300. The original supply had normal length (24" ATX) cabl...
