I'm planning: Antec P180 Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 Corsair HX 520 Anyone with this setup care to help? I'm worried about the P4 and cable managment thx After an RMA of mobo and memory (likely caused by the mobo) I dumped my eVGA 680i board for a Gigabyte P35-DS3R. It's not much different than the 680i as...

Re: Questions/help on P180B grill

I hvae seen some pics from people who took off the grills and put a really cool black lining that looks like rubber...looks sweet, what is it? Try this: http://www.mcmaster.com/nav/enter.asp?sesnextrep=651540966258958&partnum=8510K11&pagenum=3536&cad=&psearch=&selectfamily=&search=&pagetype=&catnum...

Had to RMA my (POS) mobo. While it's apart I'm going to dremel some more access holes for cables to clean it up. While I'm at it I'm going to add a grill to the back fan. It sits under a desk and sometimes to make sure the exhaust fan is running I reach around in the dark....stuck my fingers in it a...

I found that cutting the grills out of my p180 did change the amount and nature of the noise it made. Removing the top fan helped my rig too. Since I have a 680i board with an annoying chipset fan that blows underneath my ninja toward the top of the case I laid an old mouse pad on the top of the top...

A small funnel and some clear plastic hose from the hardware store makes a cheap stethoscope for isolating a noise source. Coil noises can be PSU or mobo, cheesy fans also whine. Teenagers whine a lot,can pose quite a challenge. 8) Interesting. Which? That you can make a cheap stethoscope or that t...

I'll take the black insides but you can keep that mirror finish. I like that almost enough to consider painting my internals. But without a window, who would know. The downside to a black internals is seeing what your doing in low light. My mobo, psu, cables, and video card are all black and it's to...

The cables on the Corsair are pretty long overall (you can even find references to the P180 in Corsair's FAQ pages). Post your particular mobo and one of us can confirm for sure. If your 24 pin connector is where my 8 pin connector is (eVGA 680i) you may have a problem. I found that my 8 pin reached...

I found this stuff at Home Depot: http://covalenceadhesives.com/SearchPro ... aspx?ID=77

Looks nice on aluminum and steel cases, forms to fit nicely.

P180: Any return on suspending hard drives?

I'm wondering if anyone has gone to the trouble of suspending hard drives in the P180 and whether there was any noticeable improvements? Seems like the mounting system for the 180 is pretty well damped already...

Or maybe you can get extension blocks or something? I know it doesn't help you but for folks in the states you can try here: http://store.pchcables.com/info.html I ordered an 8 pin extension for my P180. The Corsair cable is long enough to reach easily but not from behind the motherboard. Over Chri...

How did you bend the plexiglas? Did it require heating or did it just bend? It's not bent. Those are some scraps I glued at right angles with purple stuff. After cutting the pieces, I removed the ridge that comes with cutting and sanded the straight edge. After the glue set I sanded the corners a l...

Home Depot would have it. I had about 4 kinds of PVC cement on the shelf downstairs, most from previous owners. The other 3 kinds were thicker, messier, and not nearly as strong as the purple stuff. One caveat: Use in well ventilated area and keep the cap on. It's some strong smelling stuff, more so...

After reading the articles about ducting the P180 with styrene I set out to find some styrene. I struck out on that material but found some thin plexiglas at a local hobby shop. I experimented with a few different adhesives finding two that make a solid join in the material. Testor's model cement is...

Love the Indifference poster in the last picture. Which of the following are you?

- Daktari.
- Lawrence Bourne III.
- The hundreds of you 2002 calendar owners who complained that this design wasn't available in any other format .
- Disaffected college students. For real this time.

Given the difficulty in removing some of the large sinks, I would be more inclined to use some foam blocks inside the case to support the sink during transport.

I have the Corsair 620 mounted in a P180 waiting on the rest of my stuff. Cable length for the Corsairs in a P180 is not an issue.
