Ok so I finally got my system back together and here are the new results.
e8500. Stock frequency and vcore.
AS5
idle: 39C
load: 50C
IC
idle: 39C
Load: 46C(temperature of the highest core. One has always been a few degrees above the other.)
this is at roughly the same ambient temps.
Great job

actually it's smaller. Lian-Li Q7 Dimensions: 193mm x 280mm x 208mm (W,H,D) Silverstone SG-05: 125 mm (W) x 63.5 mm (H) x 100 mm (D) However, the Q7 uses an ATX Power Supply rather than a SFX (whatever that is) You're off on the dimensions for the SG-05. An inch~25mm. That makes it <2-3 inches tall...

IC7 is thick, and a little difficult to spread in my opinion, but that is just a matter of personnel preference. It will work fine for you, just don't expect to see a night and day difference. Having used IC7 lots of times, I've found the best method isn't to even bother trying to spread it, it jus...

I would really want the review sample XFX has first premium 4770. Mem heatsinks and extra condensators seem to missing though. http://image.brainbox.co.kr/content/news/17636/1.jpg Yeah, well where are the heatpipes? It looks like something that's supposed to look like the review cooler, but it is't...

I agree ... great article on this mini-ITX compared to the others I've found. I'm thinking that in a larger mini-ITX case (Sugo SG05?) with a picoPSU (no power supply inside the case) you could possibly put one of several substantial heat sinks in there. In another thread, a poster put this board i...

we are talking about these http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=13831&vpn=120MM%20CHROME%20GRILL&manufacture=nGear%20Technologies%20Inc right? 10% seems a bit much but I guess it depends on how low you run your fans. Anyone have the specs for the CM fans that come with the stacker 810? they se...

higher is better doesn't really mean much. It's nowhere near accurate enough for me. Oh, sorry, we better re-arrange all of SPCR's testing priorities to suit you.... 62 if you read the fan review right on the front page of SPCR... 62CFM sounds way too high to me. The Yate Loon D12SL-12, spin...

Would SPCR be able to add a restriction to a fan to see how much something such as a fan grill takes away from the rated CFM or a water cooling radiator? Most cases have fan grills of some sort. I know most silent enthusiasts usually remove these but I'm just wondering what sort of effect they may ...

Well I've done plenty of "restriction" experiments involving filters and grills on the intake side of fans. There's also a restriction / back-pressure effect when blowing air through a grill, a heatsink, or a complicated exhaust path. The problem here is that different fans respond differently to r...
