Just a reminder. Is there any new news regarding antec mini p180 case. I was googling a bit, bit didn't find anything useful.
Are there any clues about release date?

Hitachi's new terrabyte HDD has been mentioned as the quitest drive on many reviews. Later on they discovered that it might be due to IDLE state, where its spinning slows down. I cannot confirm that, it's just what I heard. Beside that drive, samsung HD501LJ prooved the quietest among other drives, ...

BTW - did SPCR get out of the business of writing reviews? I was wondering the same thing. I remember how I used to read at least once a week reports about new coolers or any other component for that matter. Now, I only turn to silentpcreview when I have to see the usability of older components, wh...

Glad to see reports about actual power consumption. Whenever buying new equipment I take power consumption as a priority, since I try to keep my sistem as quiet as posible, but finding true measurments of P. C. seems futile, sicne there are only few tested. If I was to buy a new graphic card now, I ...

So ic. Well then, I will take your advice, buy manchester x2 3800+, and hope I don't get power hungry version. However, undervolting filthy procesors usually doesn't pay off. Buddy has b2 revison of core 2 duo, undervolted to 1.0v on stock frequency and it consumnes more power than MO revision, that...

Tnx for information regarding production of s939 procesors Max. Thought they completly stopped the production. I was hopping for information, if any of the shops sell x2 939 with 35w TDP. I know they are hard to get, so in truth I didn't expected to get one so easilly. Who knows, maybe someone who i...

I would strongly disagree about k8 being dead. Sure, it's true that it isn't produced anymore, but only advantage that am2 has to offer over it is ddr2 support, which doesn't concern me, since I have ddr moduls overclocked to speed 285 Mhz at 2.5,4,3,7. That configuration offers me bandwidth of 5600...

35w TDP s939 dual core; where to get one?
Does anyone know where in Europe I can buy any of those. It really doesn't matter whether it's Opteron or X2, as long as it's rated for 35W and has 2 cores.

Square fan intakes are quite usefull, if you decide to not use fans on them, sice the surface is bigger. That top arrow is really restrictive :? darn it... I know electrostatic filters seem better, but I couldn't find any to buy in Slovenia and the one you showed costs 500 bucks, which is 3 times more than I am willing to pay for it. I am thinking of savaging Vicks I have, take out ionizators and lousy loud fan, and put 2 nexuses in. I already have the...

Does any of you have any information about mini p182 case, that was shown at computex. Preticularly when it's coming out to the markets.

Bluefront Check this out. Is it possible that it's the same silent product? It' said to be made here in Slovenia by Gorenje. It looks exactly the same, is there any way of checking out, whether it's the same product?

Thank you all for your replies. I just made a quick go through, and some ideas seem very convinient (I will have more time in the evening). Sad to say I already bought a HEPA filter with ionizator. But it's like subsonik said:'Ionizators all suck without exception.' It made some diffrence. Oh yes. I...

It's true that one shouldn't buy into a hype. But 95% users claiming it's best drive ever for over half a year now is more than just a hype. It actually is best drive out there. So be it my humble perspective. If you are visiting SPCR and decide to buy any other drive... well not such a si...

Back in my overclocker days I had watercooling sistems. In fact, I drowned my CPU, GPU, HDD, and North Bridge. Sistem was very quiet, but it was imposible to get silent water pump, so I just decided to turn back to air, since Heat Pipes brought efficiency of cooling almost to the standards of waterc...

I was leaning towards buying Ninja or Thermalright's ultra, but chose to buy zalman 9500 OEM instead, since it cost 50% less. The reason for that move was the article on SPCR, where they removed fan and replaced it for quieter one. Instead I ended up with stock fan with severely droped voltage. Even...

I have sunbeam's fan regulator, which I prefered over many others, because it can switch between 0-12v. I have both CPU and GPU coolers plugged in at minimum working voltages. If you intend to exchange stock cooler on graohic card, then it really doesn't matter which you chose, since they are all mo...
