I recommend that you save a couple more dollars (~$80) and get a Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 and overclock it. You will regret it if you buy a AMD Athlon/Opteron anything at this point.

Great pictures and nice looking small form factor case. I was looking to get one but with it being so small I thought that the temps might run a little. You seem to be able to handle the temps well. Nice job!

Very nice pictures but what is with using tape and cardboard. The best results will come from plastic (NOT METAL) dryer duct.

Have you considered running Linux/Unix with Samba on your file server? There is a great ready made BSD distro called Free NAS at http://www.freenas.org/. The requirements for Free NAS are very low and it is very reliable.
