About "playing with Linux"... I usually just people a live CD (Knoppix or Ubuntu) to play with. If they're game after that, I show them how to fold, spindle, and mutilate an install in a virtual machine. Aside from play, the best way to learn is to break it and learn how to fix it- with the Virtual ...

Hi, it's your helpful marketing dept.

When all of your product lines are late and/or not meeting projections, marketing slime does announcements. When they're out of actual products to announce, they start announcing dead on arrival, silly, standards. I doubt they're even going to get anyone to produce a board, and if they do, it'll jus...

How are 3.5 inch drives mounted in the case?

Looking for opinions: Antec Solo or P150

I'm building a quiet(ish), low availability, home server for someone, and am looking at Antec cases- is there a significant difference between the Solo or the P150, aside from the included P/S in the latter? I don't really see much difference, but was wondering if one was quieter, better built, easi...

You didn't say what you were using for a tuner, if any.

The reason I ask is that the main knock I've seen on the ML02 is that the riser cards are 'picky' and don't work with Hauppage Cards.

Why unpredictably ? Prior to MikeC's comment, I hadn't considered resonance- I'd expected something like a linear or parabolic function. That would at least give the same ranking to the same devices.
