Yer, that is the SI-128.
Should I call them back on that kit? Should fit the same right?
Still a fine heatsink but I will not use it again if I have to use that g.d. plastic pressure clip thing. I could ruin a mainboard.

Here's some rather poor quality pictures I just took. Maybe that will help ID it. You know they really could engrave a small number on these things so we know what they are. I mean another 15 years of thermalright, God forbid we need coolers in 15 years, and we'll have so many coolers to guess at es...

SI-128 SE should come standard the bolt thru kit and not push-pins. At least my model came with bolt thru. That 775 rev 2 kit except multi support backplate. installation Check that link. Does your cooler have those little gaps in each fin? Are you sure you have SI-128 SE and not the regular SI-128...

Just a follow up with what may be the solution. This heatsink did have a compatible bolt through kit being made but it appearsed to Loren at Thermalright customer service to have been discontinued. He recommend I try the "LGA775 Bolt-Thru-Kit Rev.2" but he said getting at the tops of the screw heads...

Thermalright SI-128 SE. Where is a LGA755 bolt through kit?
Anyone know if there is a bolt through kit available for the Thermalright SI-128 SE either brand name or custom. Thermalright names a kit that is compatible but I don't see it for sale on their site nor do I find it with Google. I'd hate to just throw this thing away but I will NOT use the push-pins...

have you ever considered epoxy? its 100% PERMANENT, you literally cannot remove it without destroying something. but then again if you want good adhesion properties, thermal tape will be just as destructive if you attempt to remove it. a good epoxy will have better thermal conductance than a good t...

Thermal Adhesive Tapes - you know them?
Hi, I'm looking to replace the tape on an old set of Zalman chipset heatsinks and an old Microcool Southbridge heatsink plus probably more. Originaly I was also going to buy the Accelero S1 and planned to replace the tape on thos sinks being a very poor quality thermal tape on those noted by many pe...

Fans engineered and manufactured in my country?
It's a patriotic thing. I'm looking at building a computer with the most American made components or if given no other choice at minimum parts that keep more currancy in my country. It should be fun to see the options even if I don't do it. Fans... even if they stink are there any U.S.A. owned and, ...

I'll be running a Gigabyte DQ6 3.3 overclocking an Intel E2140 about 400Mhz only. The CPU cooler will be the one that it comes with. One Seagate 300gb HDD, a Ben-Q DVD-RW, and a PC Power &Cooling Silencer 430w. You folks think considering all this I should opt for the two 92mm fans? I need to make a...

Northbridge fanless cooler burning hot to the touch...okay?
Are fanless northbridge coolers (aftermarket) expected to get VERY hot? I added a Zalman to an ASUS nForce 4 mainboard I have and it gets hot enough to hurt you ..nearly burn you. Because of this I have pulled the board and taken the sink off for now until I find out. I have a MicroCool cooler but i...

Intel Conroe-L able to handle HD decode with right VGA?

:) I've got a Zalman ZM-NB47J Northbridge Cooler passively cooling a VIA C7-D processor as someone had suggested it to me in these forums (where I can't find now...) but the operating temps without much load are now on average 60C (142F).... Isn't that WAY too hot? I can't seem to find what the safe...

Notebook HDD in an ATX case
Hi, In need of a main drive I'm wondering how to put a laptop HDD in my Green PC but... 1) Are there cable adapters for laptop HHD headers to ATX mainboard headers for SATA and/or IDE? 2) Are the laptop HDD's that much more efficient and worth the trouble and cost? Thermalright XP-90c on P35 board for Intel Penryn
For looks I straight away LOVE the Thermalright XP-90c. Would this cooler be effective with the upcoming Intel Penryn ..if it would fit on the board? What fans for BIOS monitoring and software controls etc?
What good fans are there that make full use of fan headers and mainboards with BIO control like the Abit IP35 Pro? I'm not sure what to look for.....4pins...should it say "reports fan speed"? ....does the fan need the molex power? Just use a PWM fan?
