$2500,- and only 2GB of RAM? I laugh tomorrow. Rip-offs. I get 16BG of DDR2-800 for $350,- ...looking at the rest of the components building a machine with an AMD-6 Core and four terabyte hard drives should be still cheaper - and one can get this fairly silent, too. Where does it say there is only ...

what is the merit of various different memory speeds, and would I notice a difference? Only in synthetic benchmarks. In real life use (also gaming) there will be no noticable difference. I think both of thses are compatible Is the different voltages significant ? Yes, but only for overall power con...

I think, the real problem here is not advertising. It's how to reward our favorite Webpage creators for their hard work. Me, personally, would have no problem spending my ten cent each month for the webpage I like (I doubt there is more revenue like that coming in each month through advertising). So...

About an casing to fit a standard ATX-supply, this one's my current favorite so far! It looks a bit like a upright shoe-box, but that's not all too bad in my eyes. http://www.lian-li.com/v2/tw/flashpage/q07/ Also the power supply you've got there; Your whole build should not draw more than 70W max. ...

What chipset exactly? I cannot find any information about that anywhere. I would need to know this because of drivers for my OSses before I buy the board. (Yeah, I have many various strange non-windows systems.) Hope anyone can help me out here. Would be much appreciated! :) Device manager says it'...

Curious, what chipset are they using in the wifi adapter? I think some of Ralink's chips have low power consumption; I've got two wifi-n adapters using their RT2870 that seem to be pretty frugal on power draw. It's an Azurewave card with an Atheros chipset. What chipset exactly? I cannot find any i...

I tried a HM160JC in my ibook roughly three months ago. The noise of the drive almost drove me mad. A constant *whoooosh*, louder than the notebooks fan, clearly audible through the whole room. I treded the drive immediately in for a new WD400VE. Maybe less space (40gb vs. 160gb), but no more noise....

Hi! I own a MacMini (PPC), and it's almost impossible to hear. Unless being in an absolutely quiet room, from a distance of 30cm or such... it's not possible to hear the systems fan at all. :-) Of course I tweaked it a little, with the help of a WD-Scorpio40GB, but... even the original Seagate was p...
