Re: Considering a new build. Suggestions are most welcome.
Great info here. I too am on an ft-05 and loved it's positive air pressure. But now I realize it's too much airflow. I do have the air penetrators at the lowest possible speed. Though there is still some flow audible out the top that's always bugged me (when I put my ear right up against it lol) Yea...

Re: Silent PC Part Recommendations (Mid-2018)
The Meshify's size is attractive. Also it's aesthetics. I'm rocking an FT-05 and though I like the layout I'd like to go smaller, which the Meshify is. The FT-05 only loses out because it has extra space for the cables up top and an intake area below. It's otherwise very similar in the interior. I w...

Re: Silent PC Part Recommendations (Mid-2018)
Would love some reviews. It interests me to know exactly how quiet those cases are compared to what I have. I need objective numbers! haha. I'd also like more focus on ITX stuff as well. I still haven't gone ITX myself for my personal build, but it's all I recommend and use for everything else. I'm ...

Is my motherboard controlling fans via voltage? not PWM?
Board: B85N Gigabyte ITX board. SG-05 case so using the stock front fan, which is 3 pin. The CPU fan is a PWM Nexus. The board has 2 4-pin connectors. In the BIOS, I can se either fan to run: Normal, Silent, Full (IIRC), and Manual. Under manual I can specify a percentage? of the fan's potential spe...

Re: Quiet ATX Gamer, R5 Version
Oh man that just makes me realize how much space the drives use up. Debating going full SSD's next build. The FT05 looks perfect, but it's rather expensive. I don't understand the plastic top cover, or the mirror look at the bottom strips... It would just bug me.

Re: Quiet ATX Gamer, R5 Version
Great looking case, it does feel like they just keep getting that much coser to perfection. For me it's so hard to justify a case with 5.25trays, good thing these are removable. One question however. Can dust get in where the optical drive bay covers are? It'd be nice if removing them allowed for an...

Tracking the M1 every now and then, it always felt to me like they were trying to please everyone in there =p. While it is a great accomplishment, and it largely does satisfy a lot of those ppl's needs, it feels a bit much for me. Other times it seems like it's geared towards very specific parts, hi...

Re: SilverStone DS380 8-Bay Server/NAS Chassis
Fantastic, just the nas case I was looking at. There really needs to be more competition in this space, that is that aren't solutions aimed strictly at the server market, and thus very expensive. The comparable case for me was the PC-Q25 by Lian Li and it too is a solid case. Thanks for the review, ...

Congrats! Here's to 12 more =p.
Since it's all about smaller components, I wish a wider array of ITX cases were reviewed. Even if the audible aspects are predictable, no one goes over these cases in as much detail as SPCR does for me.

Since in ITX cases, every inch counts =P, it'd be great to get size comparisons to other popular ITX cases. It's just nice to have that visual when debating between comparable ones.

That ML03 is huge. This case is still just a tease. There are new cases that are coming out that are close to the design I mentioned, they are eagerly anticipated by many, so anything in-between just seems a bit pointless.

What's the point of a SFX PSU if the expansion slot is only for trivial things, i.e. not power intensive. This is the kind of case I want, but it needs to support double slotted graphics cards. A TFX PSU would be ideal, supporting a short, regular height card, slotted horizontally with a PCI-E 90-de...

Well actually, rpsgc and I don't like shoe-box style cases =P. Those are attractive, small cases, definitely. The one I'm drawn to is the Q12. It's almost ideal... Except the glaring flaws come in. Like how it doesn't take any PCI/PCIE slots. When it so easily could. A low profile card in there woul...

I guess it's bigger than it looks. Nevertheless, huge case is huge! Relatively speaking though. I sure do wish they'd push the envelope more on going small, not big. It's easy to go big. Also, who doesn't want a small case that's more practical, that will house a practical PSU, that can even be TFX ...

Re: Intel Next Unit of Computing Kit DC3217BY
I've been wanting this for years. =D Pricing is on the high side, but reasonable-ish I think lol. I was a bit put off by their ultrabook push, where they basically phased out their cheap ULV processors/Netbook solutions. I too can't wait until there's broad support, maybe it needs to be standardized...

Well considering even that big fan is being sold as low rpm, low airflow, prob ok to have it get pushed out through the power supply. Man, these little cases are great for server boxes, yet they keep only having room for only 1 3.5" HDD! grrr

Re: Prolimatech MK-26 Multi-VGA Cooler
The weight concerns me overall too. The size doesn't seem to be much bigger than my years old accelero solution + fan. The Accelero is much lighter however. I remember their MK-13? had a bracket that was screwed on to the pci slots, and the fan(s) went on that, so no added weight by the fans, neat. ...

I welcome Seasonic at this price point!
It's a practical PSU for everything but high-end gaming. The efficiency and quality, with cost, it's an easy recommendation =P. I wish we were seeing smaller form factors. I'm obsessed with everything getting smaller!

Nice to see more basic tower designs. I don't like the coolers that require 2 fans, and are absurdly large, so impractical =P. However these fall flat.
