a silent HTPC is more important than having any other PC that is silent. I agree. If I'm going to build my first HTPC, it has to be (near) silent. If I want to play games, I'll use my PC or my PS3. This review was well done for the gaming system, but I would love to hear someone approach this build...

The AeroCool 140mm Streamliner fan is 20mm thick (it's not 14mm thin, but 20mm is thinner than 25mm). I haven't used it, but supposedly is quiet too at 19.6dBA Has a 120mm downsizer bracket too..
