Re: Seasonic Fanless vs KingWin / SuperFlower Fanless

What is the correct orientation of Golden Silent in the case with top PSU mount? Should the heatsink be oriented up or down? If mount it with all 4 screws, then the heatsink is turned down.

Seems like this (WD10EADS-00P8B0) is 5000rpm (not 5400rpm) model. Is there any improvement about noise level? :) Also does it make load/unload all the time?

Hello. I wonder what is the noise difference between HD103SI and HD502HI. There is an article from THG , but there is a mistake on sound level measuremnts diagrams. Idle: EcoGreen F1 1000GB - 42.2 dB EcoGreen F2 1000GB - 44.7 dB "Database-Type": EcoGreen F2 1000GB - 42.6 dB EcoGreen F1 1000GB - 46.4...

Redzo If you are looking for a good downstyle cooler the Enzotech Ultra-X should be on your list. Just google and read reviews ;-) I know that Ultra-X is the best, but It's impossible to buy it in my country, also the same situation is in Russia. Also the tester on russian overclocker's site, who t...

Aris as for that russion site, it appears they used different fans for different heatsinks, which negates the validity of the entire test as its no longer a fair comparison. One fan may have slightly more CFM at 800rpm etc. heres the review SPCR did of the Scythe ASM: http://www.silentpcreview.com/...

NeilBlanchard Hello, I think that you are misreading the chart: the Ninja at 800RPM is 0.35, while the Andy Samurai Master is 0.36 -- which is slightly worse. This already takes the dissipation area into account -- it is the overall efficiency coefficient. 0.35 is result of Ninja rev.A with less si...

Aris ninja is hands down the best cpu heatsink for low noise applications. I saw a big test with Ninja, Infinity, and ASM for 150W CPU http://www.ixbt.com/cpu/scythe-coolers-shootout-may2k7-part2.shtml (it's in russian but you can see results on flash). And at fan speed 800rpm ASM is better than Ni...

[Which] cooler to choose?

Variants: 1. Aerocool The Dominator - $39. 2. Scythe Andy Samurai Master - $49. 3. Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B - $51. Wich will be the most silent and effective cooler for this system: Case: Chieftec SH-01, CPU: Athlon X2 3600+ (will be overclocked), MB: Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H, PSU: SeaSonic S12 500W? We...

I have one more question about Chenbro PC611 and Chieftec SH-01 cases.
In Chieftec case air from hdds doesn't come to VGA and CPU, this means that it also doesn't come into PSU. PSU regulates it's fan speed depending on temperature. Can hot air from hdd cause higher PSU fan rotation speed?

Ok, think I will buy 500W model - it has more fast fan on default voltage, but as I understood from reviews it has less aggressive fan regulation than 350W model.

Thomas
I need time to read all of this.
Now I want to conclude all what was written before about Chieftec vs Chenbro:
1. By default they are the same, or Chieftec is a bit better.
2. It is easier to create silent PC if I will buy Chenbro.
Did I miss something?

Thomas Are your prepared for some DIY suspension, or will you use the case as is? Depends on what to do. I have good "hands.dll" :D but I don't want to destroy case, because if I will find a way to buy P150, I will need to sell this case to somebody. About PSU. Here are reviews of different SeaSoni...

So, again, now I have to choose between Chenbro PC611 and Chieftec SH-01.

Thomas I didn't buy anything yet. I know that Seagate hdds are very noisy. I considered Hitachi HDT725032VLA360 and Samsung 321KJ and decided that Hitachi is better, because it has 2 and Samsung has 3 disks.
