DBB motors do last longer, but these fans cost almost nothing, so it's not that big of a deal. The open corner thing means it has a gap for mounting like you said, so don't buy the closed corner.

By overheat I mean I dont want them to exceed their recommended thermal limits when on load for a while. Wouldn't want them to fry or something like that

I heard that in a P182 with a Ultra 120 Extreme HS you shouldn't have NF-S12-1200's in your case due to pressure issues/something about air and the huge heatsink obstruction. What's this about?
