I just tried a used 24 v M1A, which I got cheap in a second-hand store. It clicks really badly at 12 v and less + it vibrated like hell. This one was well used, so maybe it is not fair say they are all bad. Same goes for a 24 v H1A which I picked up, only bearing noise and balance on this one were w...

Anyone out there got experience using 24 Volt Panaflo L's (at 12 v that is !). I see one post on the site saying they have noisy bearings. I am in Brasil, so my options for decent fans here is limited, but I just foung a box of these 24 V Panaflos in a comupter junk shop, along with some (very) used...

I found the link I mentioned in my last post, which seems to represent a pretty thourough test of thermal compounds: http://www.insideproject.com/showreview.cfm?reviewid=81 Worth checking out, other reviews that I have found are a bit dubious + normally in favour of Artic Silver, which is beaten by ...

The label on my tube of Cooler Master Premium says "Thermal Compound by Shin Etsu". And it is Made in Taiwan. I don't know if it is the "right" formula, or if it is 'made by' or 'contains' or whatever, but it seems to work, and like it says in this thread it needs a few days to reach optimum perform...

[quote="Radeonman"] Does it need 3 days to reach optimal temperatures? Yes. I´m using this stuff, I agree it seems good, but I get variable results every time I mount my cooler (+/- 4oC on load) .... maybe due to application problems. Radeonman ... can you explain why it would take 3 days to reach o...

Volcano 9 ... Fan or Heatsink ?
:? Are you sure the real problem was the fan and not the **** heatsink which comes with the Volcano 9 ? I mounted the fan off a V 9 on a Cooler Master HHC-001 heatsink (copper with 2 x heat pipes) .... it cools a 2500 XP nicely at < 2000 rpm and is fairly quiet. As for the standard 60mm Cooler Maste...
