Great review. I read a bit back on Head-fi that ac ripple can affect the sound quality of high fidelity sound cards like the asus xonar essence stx. There was a topic in which some of the posters who were using a separate, ultra low ripple, psu for the sound card noticed improved sound quality over ...

Question about gpu computational power/ppd
I have a question about the computational power of the ATI 3000/4000 series gpus and the nvidia gpus. From what I've researched, ATI gpus have theoretically far more computational power than the nvidia line (in general). But average ppd for ATI gpus are around 1500-2500 ppd while nvidia gpus are any...

That is one clean watercooled system. Can we get some temps? Also have you ever thought of reversing the intake fans on the radiator so they exhaust hot air instead of blow it into the case? With the 3 exhaust fans on the radiators you could probably get rid of the rear exhaust fan. Though judging f...

Well here's a review of the 4850 by Anandtech showing around 27 watts higher than the 3870 at load, but with a large increase in performance IMO. It seems like ATI has a pretty decent card on their hands, stepping up the competition, especially in the prices...I love capitalism. http://www...

Great review. Though funny how there's very little mention of the Cooler Master Hyper Z600 in this discussion, instead most of the focus is on comparisons between the Ninja CU, Ninja rev.B, and Hr-01 plus.:D @MikeC: I had a look at an overlooked contender for the 'best heatsink with low airflow', th...

FYI, I think Elijah86 is talking about the hr-01 PLUS, which has 6 heatpipes instead of 4. I've had the same pondering question for a while on the performance of the hr-01 plus. The only review of it that I've seen was the one on that German site. I would love to see spcr review it. :P....Maybe you ...

Have you tried undervolting your cpu? 45nm processors are supposed to undervolt like mad. You could probably take off 5-10c from load temps. Also lapping could be an option, although idk if you want to void your warranty. 62c doesn't seem too crazily bad with the ambient temps we're getting right no...

Wow....Isn't that something...20db at 400 watt load. Maybe those crazy skull trail, quad sli, over clocker freaks might just be able to make a whisper quiet system after all. I wonder what's causing the ripple to go out of whack at the higher loads though. :?: Maybe it has something to do with the s...

As always, try checking the PSU Recommended list here. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article699-page1.html I personally would choose the Corsair VX450 psu. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003 This power supply would leave enough headroom for upgrades while still keeping q...
