In many ways, this could be considered a slightly perfect game for a "gaming" mini-itx system. Can put a decent graphics card with a AMD mini-itx or the Intel Mini-itx and there you go I think the main reason they want this out is so people aren't spending high amounts on all these tiny items that a...

I'd get this board, but also be slightly worried about quality of their products. I work for a company that has dealt with their boards and still deals with their boards, quality is slightly better, but they got some weird engineering ideas that sometimes don't work well.

So how are the noise levels with it, is it true that the stock one is slightly noisy at times?

I was looking at getting one of these once I can afford it and a quad core CPU. I've been trying to totally find out what fans are in there so that I could replace them also because I have heard some bad reviews about the noise level that some people have had with other shuttle PCs. I'm, how you are...

Linux/web server books

I didn't fully know if this was the best place or not but figured it was worth a shot and know this community is very helpful, I am wondering if anyone has some suggestions on linux books, along with this I'm trying to set up my own web server on there like a LAMP. The major issue is I don't want on...

Well depends on the supermicro board. Trust me on this, my company that I work at uses them and many times we've had major issues with some basic things, like keyboard ports just not working, or no video issues, which I know can be many boards but it gets a not too good vote on my end. Maybe we just...

FS: Auzentech HDA Digital XMystique 7.1 Gold

Looking to sell this sound card for about 40 OBO. I have the drivers CD with it to, even though the website has a better/newer driver. Looking to get rid of this card and going to be upgrading to one of the newer ones, might even try the Creative PCI-Express card. This is from the Newegg website, fi...

I can officially agree with the parallel port and the IDE channel, yet Serial port, that needs to stay for server and OEM custom computers, trust me on that one, work for a company that does that type of work.

So here is what the heatsink I was talking about looks like on the motherboard, it's actually just slightly warm to the touch and is running really quiet personally.

So, I have an old Socket 478 IS7-G motherboard, with the updated northbridge, http://www2.abit.com.tw/upload/products/IC7-MAX3-500.jpg . It pretty much is that heatsink, anyone think that would be a nice one to do. And must say this board does run Windows Server 2003 very well, pretty quick actually...

Probably was safest bet, sadly that happens sometimes and nothing can be done about it and then well, you are screwed and forced to do that.

Sadly hadn't tried the whole 2GB stick, figured would just go with something I knew fully worked without having any issues, if anyone finds out that could be a great way of making this into a fast well rounded system more and more. Also love that idea of that one swiftech heatsink, I think that woul...

I can only imagine how much cooler that would run with a heatsink like that on it. Now the issue comes into play the size of it, but maybe it gives me all the more reason to make my own case.

What I was also thinking was seeing if there is a good northbridge heatsink, seeing they usually attached the same way, that could be used for this motherboard also, just the funds and time have not been fully there for me lately.

Figured, instead of adding another topic out there and know that this one i...
