Isn't the Sflex D the lowest RPM of the three (D, E, F)? ie. only 800RPM at 12V. For an intake which is also filtered and with a terrible stock grate in front of it, this fan would be pushing nearly no air. Just my opinion but I think it would be wiser to use the E or F and simply drop their voltage...

Regarding the RAID, I'm keen to try it if only because I haven't tried it before. If I get horrible beats then I might then decide to remove one; 250GB will still be more than enough for most of my needs. Alternatively, distributing the drives to separate chambers would probably get the beat down to...

Abit IP35 Pro <--> WD SATAII SE16 HDD RAID. Serious is
I just read in a couple of places that the IP35 Pro motherboard had compatibility issues with SATAII WD SE16 drives when used in RAID. Can anyone confirm or refute this? In any case I'm only interested in RAID-0 so would I get any issues with that? I'm almost ready to go ahead buying parts for a new...

Yeah I realised this after I posted. From somewhere I got the impression the P182SE had an aluminium style bezel but I was mistaken obviously. I'm pleased it is a black finish though because picking black parts is slightly easier in the current market. Still... those 5.25" mesh thingies look nice. D...

By the way, my idea at the moment for CPU and motherboard is Abit IP35 Pro with a Intel Core2 Duo E6600. I don't think that board has SLI but I'm a bit less worried about that now. I'm just loving the sound of that board. And I'll most likely leave out the fan controller because it sounds like the m...

Thanks... that's some great information Wibla. Thanks especially for your drawing - A picture's worth a thousand words! I've found so far the passive 8600GTS has been pretty good by itself, though I do have a 80mm intake fan nearby it in my current setup. I think seraphyn's idea of putting one of th...

Does anyone here have a P182 SE specifically? If yes could you please post a photo of the front panel (fan grills and drive bays etc.)? I have searched everywhere but have not seen a single photo of this part of the case - only ones for the black P182 or the P180. I assume it doesn't look completely...

Here's a lame little picture of what I want the case to do. Remember it's an Antec P182 case. The green things are all 120mm fans. Picture is not to scale. :) http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/5108/quietmoderategamingsystzl2.th.png Note the HDDs are actually mounted sideways but that's really irrel...

mobo/CPU advice for moderate-performance Antec P182SE system
Here are the specs of a quiet PC I would like to build: Antec P182SE Case (this was the first decision!) Gigabyte GeForce 8600GTS (already own) Kingston DDRII 667MHz 2x1GB RAM (already own) - will eventually upgrade Corsair VX-550 PSU 2x 250GB Seagate HDDs (in RAID-0) 1x DVD drive (mounted in topmos...
