Re: Enjoy the silence... (Updated 08 March 2011)
I tied the SATA cables with all the HDDs inside the cage, but with cage pulled out of the box. For the routing inside the box, I tied them lighter and after i liked how they stay I've tied them up strongly. Anyway... I don't like the results so much. I must improve it a lot, but to do that I need to...

Re: Enjoy the silence... (Updated 08 March 2011)
Considering the fact that the previous card was fanless, after upgrade, the noise has rise a little... Insesizable with side panel closed. With panel open, you can hear the 2 fans on MSI. That is in Idle. I'll still play with the fan settings to see if the temps are allright if i keep the fan at 20-...

I've tried Akasa Paxmate. Is pretty useless in matter of sound dampening... I've changed it with Acousti.netmask254 wrote:One quick question: Before and after applying Akasa PAX2 Acoustic Pad, did you notice any thing different? Is it effective in noise reducing?

I need a new HDD.
Yo!
Tommorrow I need to buy a new HDD because one of my Seagate HDDs, has fell after about 2 years with 450Gb of data on it... The firmware problem of 7200.11 series... What do you recommend, silent and fast. I put my eyes over the Western Digital Blue 1TB WD10EALS.

INTERIOR
Inside it looks just as promising. Was a true champion of the facilities and WM. As i've already said, very spacious http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/5580/dsc0032j.jpg ...so, even the true beasts like Noctua NH-D14 don't seems to be anymore so frightening. http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/9020/d...

CM Storm Sniper Black rig
I recently made a rig in a CM Storm Sniper case. Super case. Spacious, elegant and above all, excellent for WM, thanks to the smart holes in the tray, the space next to the tray and to the huge space between the tray and the side panel where you can perfect arrange the cables to be hidden. CPU: AMD ...

Neither Noctua NH-D14 is not yet recommended by SPCR and I still have far better temperatures with him than the Ninja and still remain the best air cooler on the market beating up giants like Ninja A/B/2 and Z600 in fanless zone and TRUE and Prolima on high airflow zone... L.E.: In fact IT IS ... my...

CM 690 II + 11 Fans...
Today I made a rig for a friend in a CM 690II. Totally 11 fans... Blasphemy :) Intake: 2x Noctua NF-D14(side pannel) 1x CM 690 II stock fan (front) Exhaust: 2x Noctua NF-S12-1200(top) 1X CM690 II stock fan(back) CPU: 1X Noctua NF-P12 VGA: 3x 92mm (Accelero 4870X2) PSU: Cougar S700 I told him that th...

For extreme silence, buy a Noctua NH-D14 cooler and keep it fanless or with one fan in the middle. For insulation, try to find some AcustiPack or Nexus foam. If possible, keep the others cmponents fanless to.
Look HERE. With D14 and only 2 Noctua fans@5v(500RPM) is very silent.

On all categories, high RPM, low RPM and FANLESS. Tommorrow I will probably instal it... L.E. I did it today:D http:/...
