Are the new WD Greens 1.5TB affected by this issue?

Just a quick question: I have a reference 4850, i replaced the stock cooler with accelero s1 + noctua fan, and now i want to know if its best to connect the fan directly to the PSU or connect it to the graphic card itself?

I wonder how this card performs with a fan attached, assuming you can mount one, and how many slots it would obstruct. Is this any better then accelero s1 (the damm thing with a fan is obstructing 4 slots on my board).

Well if you wanna go passive with it at least a decent case cooling is recommend.

The TVcard is about the size of a PCIe x16 slot.

The slot marked with #9 would be a good option if there wasn't a pipe on the way... and using the VGA on the 2nd PCIe slot and running it at 8x will decrease performance i think. Unfortunately i don't really think my board has more space between the pci slots then other boards have... this being true im really sad i will have to use the turbo module instead of a quality noctua fan on accelero s1.

It seens that the powercolor 3870 passive is better because it haves 2 massive heatpipes on both sides of the card so it runs cooler, the problem is that it is a 3 slot design.
