The Slip Stream is going out of stock everywhere and is replaced by the S-Flex, so I bought the S-Flex 800 to use with my S1.

And the Scythe Slip Stream is a good and quiet fan which won't sound more than my Noctuas?

Maybe it would be better to get the Slip Stream 800 and undervolt it to 600? Since that is the speed my Noctuas is running.

Hmm, maybe I don't have to get any VGA chipset coolers at all. Because I bought the 8800GT Zilent from MSI, with an Zalman VF1000 on it. I think there already are pretty good chipset coolers from Zalman on it. Do you think another Noctua S-12 will work for the Accelero S1? I think I've read that the...

Thanks alot for the great answers guys. I got my Noctuas down to 600 RPM now, under that and the Kama Meter loses control of them which makes them go under 400 = the Kama Meter goes into warningmode = beeping and flashing. Wish I could turn it off but well, 600 is pretty much unaudible so. And thank...

There came an adapter with the Noctua S-12 that lowers the RPM? There was some cables but I didn't pay much mind to them, guess I'll have to try with that then. The Kama Meter is pretty popular I believe, and it looks so very nice so if possible I would really like to use it. Also, otherwise I will ...

Shouldn't the static pressure of a Noctua and an S-Flex be around the same at the same RPM? I'll try to post a picture of how much the tilting is tomorrow, it is not very much but since I actually can push it up little bit I guess it isn't as it should. With the computer on for about an hour or two ...

TRUE and Noctua S-12, bad temp

Antec Solo case with Noctua S-12 in 900RPM for outtake. GA-EP35-DS4 mobo with E8400 CPU, not overclocked and EIST and C1 disabled in bios. Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme with a Noctua S-12 going in 900RPM on the CPU. After an hour or so the CPU is 37-38C, and Core 1/2 45-46C and there they stay. Sho...

I am having a hard time deciding for this one or MSI GeForce NX8800GT-Zilent 512MB which has a Zalman VF1000 on it. I haven't decided for the Antec Solo or the Antec P182 yet, but I am not planning to have any more fans than one slow 120mm in the back to blow out air, one slow 120mm on the CPU heats...

How loud is the 9800GTX you think? I've heard that it is quite quiet, at least considering how powerful it is.

1680x1050, which makes it a bit more demanding too.

Can you fit custom fans on the Accelero S1?

And nevermind the HDD, if I so have to I'll just throw out the smallest one in favor of my new 1TB disk. Or I'll start considering the P182 again.

Which is the best GPU really, that is acceptable quiet? I am starting to wonder if 9600GT can do everything on highest with DX10 in Age of Conan for example.

Inet has them, so does a few others. Use www.prisjakt.nu I always use Prisjakt when looking for things to buy. The only thing it can find with the word slipstream in it is 3 DVD movies, one frisbee and one game. But I checked Inet after you wrote it of course. Slip Stream it is, and not Slipstream....

Does the ECS 9600GT come with Accelero preinstalled? That would have been the best solution. But I'm afraid that ECS unfortunately doesn't sell the 9600GT in Sweden. The only 9600GT available with heatsink in Sweden are Asus, Gigabyte and Sparkle. The Asus cost around $50 more, like often with Asus ...

Hmm btw, regarding the ThermalRight cooler. So it uses a special backplate to mount it? And my motherboard doesn't allow that?

In that case I guess I have to take the Asus Triton 75 cpu cooler. Or do you recommend another one?

I don't mind my HDD's going up in degrees though. They are around ~40 C now in my Antec Titan case without fan, and they can take 50+ C without any problems. Also, 2 of the disks will have the Nexus passive cooling+noise damping, and 3 of the disks will be suspended so they won't be close to each ot...

Anyone who has any opinions on the Nexus Disktwin? If I buy 2 of those, I can put 2 HDD's in 2 5,25" slots and then use the suspension system in the Solo case.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try the heatpipe included with the 9600GT at first. If it can't do it's job right then I'll guess I have to consider the Accelero S1 Rev. 2. A bit hard to come by in Sweden though, only like 2-3 online stores selling it. I am/was very into the Antec Solo, so it will be qu...

Thanks. I have considered the P-182, but I do not like the design which seems to demand at least two case fans. Because of the P-182 separating the PSU from the rest of the computer, I can imagine that the flow of air will be halted with just one 120mm blowing out. My planned setup is as current: MB...

Antec Solo with 9600GT, stealing HDD space?

Hey guys. Thought it was about time that I registrered. Have read many useful threads and articles here to help me on my quest to attain a gaming/HTPC that is as quiet as possible without going advanced with water cooling etc. I've been having some troubles on deciding which case to buy though. I ha...
