Looks interesting for a low end server. However, I think the price point ($299) is too high. You could put together a similarly configured Shuttle K45 system (with a Celeron 430 & 512M RAM) for around $150. Also, the K45 is only a little bigger dimensionally.

How about a Silverstone SG02? It's relatively small and looks more appliance-like than a tower configuration. I just built a windows home server with this case. It's located directly behind my desk chair and runs cool/quiet. The build/pictures are posted at: http://forum.wegotserved.co.uk/index.php?...

I’m working on the components choices for a WHS build, too. The server will be sitting on a credenza directly behind my office chair. I want it too look more like an appliance, rather than another mid-tower computer. Initially, I’ll use two drives, but want the ability to add one or two more. Al...

SFF Case Choices for Home Server

Thank you for your comments. If I had space to tuck it away, I would certainly go with the Mid-tower. But, I don't have the space. That's why I'm looking at the SFF cases. I'll agree with you on the Antec NSK1380 - cooling would be an issue with 2-3 drives in it. This case is probably best for low p...

SFF Case Choices for Home Server

I’m working on the components choices for my WHS build and I’m stuck on which case to use. Initially, I’m going to use two 750GB drives (the current sweet spot for $/GB) and want space for a third drive down the road. The server will be sitting on a credenza directly behind my office chair. I ...
