My MB died yesterday due to leaky caps so I'll wait to see the layout of my new one and go from there.

I'm moving from Socket A with a passive cooled GPU to an AMD 4850E and a GA-MA78GPM-DS2H with a HD3200 mGPU so hopefully I'll have a much cooler system to start with.

My HTPC case has two 60mm fans, which as most would know can be noisy. My Power supply has a large 12cm fan that draws in through the bottom of the PS via a grill in the bottom of my case. The air is then forced out the rear of the PS. If I flip the PS over it will actually draw case air and pump it...

I've got 2 Protechnic 6012LS-25 fans in my HTPC. I understand the numbers but does anyone know what the LS bit of the part number means? The other Protechnic fans i've seen have a different code. Also, is there a specs sheet for their fans somewhere. I'm looking at replacement fans but can't compare...

Hmmm that's a shame. I thought the lower RPM ay have saved the day with those. Regarding mods, I'm actually considering running the 2 fans in series off the 12v line so each gets 6v. I'm taking the some to work today to see if they spin up with just 6v. I can't even use a 60 to 80 adaptor as the fan...

First time poster. I want to replace two 60mm case fans in my Coolermaster CM Media 250 HTPC case. Current 3500-4500rpm fans are just too loud.
