That's very interesting information; could you supply any links? How do you define a 'squealing' issue please? Incidentally, the problem was the same when I replaced the PSU with a Nesteq 700W one. It does sound like the sound is coming from the motherboard - having said this, it may well be GPU spe...

I think other manufacturers may get the idea to make watercooled cases so, if you have time, keep your eyes open for alternatives. I don't see how anyone could make a quieter setup than what I have; even if you went for 100% passive components, you still have an aircooled solution and need fans. Thi...

I am not sure about testing but, with one GTX280 and the CPU in the loop, the system has absolutely no problems. I haven't been measuring the component temps but I can see what the coolant and the ambient is doing. Typical performance when switched on is initially coolant 22c / 21c ambient. Use Wind...

You're absoutely right. On further investigation the buzzing is coming from the Motherboard. It's seperate to the occasional squeak coming from the SSD. With this motherboard buzzing; I really don't know what I can do. I wonder whether anyone else has had this problem. I am using a Gigabyte X-58 Ext...

I finished build the system, and it's very good. I used the BFG GTX280 H2OC which fits the case.

My only warning to you is that the case uses 12/8mm hose, so don't waste money on a load of 10/8mm compression fittings like I did. Barb connections, PFTE tape and clamps are the way.

I completed building this machine - finally - yesterday and am using it now. The case is a good one.... pretty quiet although not 'silent'. I think you'd have to go for 100% passive for genuine silent. Some things I have learned that may save others pain/inconvenience/disappointment. 1) The LQ1000 c...

Zalman LQ1000 case... WHICH watercooled GPU will fit?

Hi. Recently I bought a high end PC from Alienware, and it was the noisiest PC ever. I had to send it back for a refund. It was a terrific disappointment. Since then I have set out to build a powerful, but extremely quiet PC. I had quite a lot of money to play with in my Alienware refund, so I went ...

I have one of these....

It's pretty neat, although I haven't found a watercooled Graphics Card to fit it yet. :(

Probably best that I start a new topic about this.
