Re: Need advice - the most quiet PSU
Have no reason to pay extra 11,77$ for modu PSU. You have talked about an HTPC: usually they use small cases. If it is so, there's a compelling, physical reason to go for a modular PSU. Otherwise, no. I've got CoolerMaster Elite 360 case with mATX motherboard (AsRock 785G/128M) so near PSU there is...

Re: Need advice - the most quiet PSU
87,74$ Scythe Kamariki 4 Plug-in (Active PFC, CE, CB, ECC, TUV, \nRoHS, UL, cUL, FCC) 450W, 80% Plus, fan 10cm, modul, ATX V.2.3, retail (KMRK4-P-450A) It seems the best (quietest) candidate, or so about. Is there any difference in quality / acoustic params between 75,97$ Scythe Kamariki 4 (Active ...

Need advice - the most quiet PSU
Need advice. Have to choose the most quiet PSU among available in local price. The main aim - quiet/silent run. Building HTPC (AMD X2 215 + 785G), so power is not so important - 300W will be more then enough. Need quiet PSU under low load and silent in off state (no buzzz or other things like my pre...

To whom this may concern: according to the service people in Finland, the Eaton Protection Station 800 uses "pseudosinusoidal wave" in battery output mode, i.e. a cheaper to produce, non-pure waveform. I'm not really happy hearing this, but as long as it doesn't break my PSU, what could I expect fr...

I have an APC ES series UPS and it works well with my Corsair PSU (built by Seasonic). So, there's at least one Seasonic made PSU that works with the UPS. :D -> Typing this during a big storm event, have had 2 power drops in the house this am. Big thanks for you info. Does your PSU equipped ...

Among the PSUs you listed, the Seasonic will probably be the quietest. The 2 FSPs should be about a same, probably a bit louder and more prone to speed up the fan at lower load. No idea about the coolermaster, but I'd choose one that didn't have extreme in its name -- like one of the Silent Pro ser...
