Thanks. I let it run w both Prime95 (cpu) and Furtest (gpu) for an hour now, and the PSU is still hand-hot, w cpu temp 67C and 95W max. I guess I will only tape some TV shows and incidentally run some HD movies, which should be less than 30% cpu (will test tonight). The PSU has a noisy 4cmx1.5cm fan...

i3-530 in Elite 100
I would go for a i3-530 and a H55 mATX mb in a very SFF. See my setup and picture in topic "Fanless PSU for i3". With cheap Asrock mATX H55 mb, i3-530 cpu, Elite 100 case, 2GB and 320GB 2.5" Scorpio you come close to $400, I guess. Just remove the PSU fan (5 minutes work) and its dead-silence too. P...

Fanless PSU for i3
My setup now is - i3/530 cpu w stock cooler - Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 mATX mboard - Coolermaster Elite 100 case w 150W PSU (very SFF, bedroom size!) - 2x2GB mem + 2.5"Scorpio + Cinergy DVB-C stick The Elite 100 case is very small (7x32x26cm), while fitting a mATX board (with PCI slots covered by the P...

i3 power/fan
I have a Gygabyte GA-H55M-USB3 mATX mb met i3-530 cpu in a very small Elite 100 case (w 2x2GB and 2.5"HD). Cpu fan (stock) and PSU fan (Elite) are not very silent. Any suggestions? NB. Case is 7 cm, with ca 6 cm for heatsink/fan (stock is 4.6 cm). I looked at Pico PSU to replace 150W Elite PSU but s...

i3-530 in Elite 100
The Coolermaster Elite 100 w PicoPSU and mATX H55 board seems a great fit for Clarkdale if you want it small ! The i3-530 fits in w stock cooler, I think, and power is only 30/70W.

Great mod! I think this is also an excellent case for the new Intel i3-530 cpu/gpu (30/70W) with eg an Asrock H55M-Pro mATX board and a 120W PicoPSU. The stock Intel cooler is 4.6cm, so I think it should just fit. Any comments?
