I have never seen or heard of a motherboard with staggered spinup. It is mostly mid- to highend controllers that has that feature.diafygi wrote:How do you know if the board is capable of staggered spinup?

Re: PSU options for NAS (8xHDD)
If you do not have staggered spinup the disks will all spinup at the same time drawing 140-160W.
I have 15 1,5Tb green drives and they alone draw 310W peak during spinup.

Error?
Hi
Nice review, thanks.
On page 2 is says, for the WD30EZRS (HD Tune 4.6 Sequential Read Results):
Min read 103.2 MB/s
Max read 130.5 MB/s
Avg read 60.9 MB/s
Avg must be wrong, it can't be below minimum . Perhaps you have switched the values for min and avg?

Re: Intel DH55TC WOL problems
I reinstalled the PC, but that did not solve the problem. Then I tried to reinstall the Intel driver and this time only installing the driver itself, leaving out Intel's management software. That solved the problem. Thanks Intel, for making shitty software. WOL now works perfectly, both with pattern...

Re: Intel DH55TC WOL problems
The PC is used as a media storage server and many hardware players does not send magic packets, so they can't wake it up.

Intel DH55TC WOL problems - SOLVED
Hi I have the following system: DH55TC Core i3 530 4x2GB corsair XMS3 1333 Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit My problem is that it won't wake from S3 unless a magic packet is used. From S1 there is no problem waking it using pattern match. S1 is however not a solution, because it uses to much power (28W com...
