Re: Lian Li PC-B25S Mid-tower Aluminum Case
Mike how would that compare to this case? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112254&cm_re=LIANNEWYEAR20-_-11-112-254-_-Product The model number is identical except this one has a window. It's on sale too for $160 and I was thinking about taking the jump, though my gut tells me ...

Re: Computer hooked to TV via HDMI looks bad
it's really a strange issue... i've built a few of the SPCR build guides... and for the silent home server with the zotac h55-c-e board, the onboard video looks pretty bad compared to a standalone player... i can't figure out why _exactly_ it's bad... the picture isn't as vibrant, looks slightly deg...

Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 1: Intel GMA HD 3000 Graphics (Update
does anyone have an why playing video with integrated graphics or 90% of graphics cards via hdmi to a TV doesn't look as good as say... a ps3 or wdtv high def media player? i would love to build one of these intel integrated graphics machines for a htpc, but in my experience they don't even come clo...

Re: Silent Mid Gaming PC Build Guide
what do you guys think of how i mounted the fan controller knobs for the musashi in the water cooling pipe slots in the case? the knobs are too big to fit in the expansion slots and don't want to have to open the case every time i adjust them. i bought a dremel and thinned the metal on the panels an...

Re: Silent Mid Gaming PC Build Guide
it's quiet for sure at idle with all 6 stock fans undervolted... (5 internal + 1 on the side window) one thing I don't understand is why the musashi has two knobs for the fan controller... does anyone run the fans at different speeds? it makes no sense to me since they are either both on low, or bot...

Re: Silent Mid Gaming PC Build Guide
I did another build of this machine, this time in a nzxt tempest evo build for silence 2x radeon hd 6870 both with scythe musashi I had major issues with cable management as I couldn't fit everything behind the motherboard plus SLI cable routing is inherently difficult. if anyone has any suggestions...

Re: AMD & Asus DirectCU Radeon HD 6850 Graphics Cards
I would advise caution for these cards, a lot of people are having issues playing games, myself included. Crysis was unplayable - super choppy, etc. Crysis warhead plays fine for about 3 minutes and then crashes the machine because the display goes completely static, etc. Starcraft 2 is the only gam...

Re: AMD & Asus DirectCU Radeon HD 6850 Graphics Cards
I do not understand. In TechPowerUp, that video card was noisy (noisier than here in SPCR): http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/Radeon_HD_6850_Direct_Cu/ There he says that does not run its fan under 1500 rpm. I trust SPCR. Just I would know why that difference. Thank for review. I based my sys...

In addition to my Crysis question, has anyone tried to install a Scythe musashi on one of these? i am thinking of replacing my S1 + noctua fan combo for a musashi.

Re: AMD & Asus DirectCU Radeon HD 6850 Graphics Cards
Did you guys happen to try this card out in Crysis? I bought this card and every game except Crysis runs at high settings. Crysis "optimized" by the game asks for High settings but runs @ 10 FPS. On medium settings it does 12 fps, on low settings it does 10 FPS. I'm running a phenom 2 965be @ 3.8ghz...
