That's a clone of http://www.aerocool.com.tw/index.php/products/27-pgsq/31-qs200 Aerocool QS-200. have build one before, case quality is acceptable. You get what you pay for: low cost, low production but high function. Nowhere near of middle-class cases, regarding build quality. And fans that come w...

Re: Trying to silence a game+oc rig
I think, using a case with that many fans doesn't make sense. Old style i'd look for a decent airflow in the right direction with the least amount of fans possible. Having intake fans often punishes you with more noise and only 2k of temperature difference. To cool your hdds would be the only reason...

Re: New mATX build; looking for advice
The Seasonic M12II costs $10 more than the Antec over here, and as far as I can tell, they're basically the same thing. Is there really a difference that's worth $10? For the graphics card I was considering upgrading the CPU to an i5 and using the integrated Intel HD 4000 until I could afford somet...

A SFX psu ist way bigger than a power brick. So why don't you put that brick in the place of the not needed SFX psu?
Watch brick's temps an you may got a win-win.

Re: Looking to fit a fan controller and ~6 fans
Install one or two outblowing fans in the top or back of your case. Set them to run at app. 800 rpm or close to inaudible. Free the backslot right beneath your vga card.
Watch temps. Probably no need for a fan controller.

Re: Shuttle XH61 as basis for a cheap, silent general purpos
Seems like you should deploy a solid backup strategie. In wanting a small case, you will always make compromises. You want cool harddisks? You should either think about a case, that cools your disks well and see where you end up size wise or you should just take it for a fact, that your (any) disks ...

Not starting a flamewar, but if you have to upgrade now AND want max folding power, your current choice isn't Nvidia any more. As Luca pointed out, this may change with the next gpu generation. But for the time being, the newest Keppler is way behind.

Re: Shuttle XH61 as basis for a cheap, silent general purpos
In my experience with former shuttle modells the emitted noise mainly came from the power supply with a smallish turbo fan. Cheap and silent w/o optical drive could be based upon ISK 100 Antec. http://www.silentpcreview.com/antec-isk100 Smaller and quieter as anything that ever came from shuttle, im...

Personally i believe that those differences are merely of theoretical nature, because all tests together do clearly show one fact: neither technique is in front. So, assuming your real world pc usage has longer than 15 min. of load time, this difference is likely to be of marketing importance. Of co...

Direct contact removes all the barriers between the heatpipes and the CPU... but then places those heatpipes in particular locations. If they are not located directly over the hotspots on the CPU what was an advantage becomes a disadvantage. It appears to me that alternative design is less suscepti...

As long as you stick to am2/3 mainboards, most of the power consumption will arise from the build in igp. So i'd support Hfat. I own a u2311hm and was lucky having no disturbing issues with my modell. As others have reported, they had issues regarding lighting/uniformity, but Dell support should be contacted for a solution.
I'm totally satisfied with this monitor and wouldn't hesitate to recommend one.

But the price... 35 Euros for the thing (~$46), shipping included. Do you guys think it's worth it? In germany there's no case in the range of 40€ that would come even close to Solo/Sonata. I just received a new ProBook 4530s and went through the standard setup process. I am very disappointed to hear the fan running constantly.
