Re: High End GPUs and "The Mod"

Just wanted to add my 2c here. I performed this on my son's 560ti in his SG05 case with the radiator placed in the traditional SG05 location with a push/pull arrangement. It went from having 4 fans in the case to 5 but the overall result is a large reduction in load noise at the expense of a slight ...

Intel SB Stock Cooler: PWM vs Voltage control

My mobo (Gigabyte H67N-USB3-B3 ITX) allows control of the HSF to be either PWM or voltage. I started using it as PWM but the idle speed of 1300 RPM was noticeable (CPU is i5-2500K). I changed it to voltage and the idle speed dropped to 500RPM and the fan noise is buried beneath the PSU fan now. Prim...

If the Shuriken overlaps then the Kozuti probably will as well since its nearly identical width.

Re: Why do you have a SFF computer?

Too bad the OP didn't add an "All of the above" or make it a multi-choice poll. I agree with Mats as well in that it is a matter of taste or style. My main PC is a Mac mini and while its more expensive than a tower for the same functionality it ticks all my boxes otherwise (energy efficient, small a...

Gigabyte won't have anything until next year. Someone from gigabyte said so on hardforum.

Re: Zotac mini-ITX Z68 motherboard

I'll probably end up with this board since I want the over/under clocking. I don't need the wifi but no one else seems to want to put out a z68 mitx board. I read somewhere that Gigabyte won't have one until next year.

SFF Gaming/General Purpose iMac Replacement.

My two teenage boys are currently using 3.5yo iMacs. They have been great machines but are surely showing their age. Since they are primarily using Windows, I thought it would be a good time to switch to a SFF machine that could replicate some of the unique features of the iMac, namely low noise, lo...
