Fan down for PSU. Get rid of middle drive cage if you don't have enough space in front of the GPU for a fan. If you use the fan in the front it will create a lot of noise. Cover the upper vent as you said. Change the back fan with Scythe, Now you will have 1 fan left. I would install it inside the 5...

About Antec's PSU i can not comment. But if you read my previous post you will see that I use a Corsair AX1200 ....same as AX850. It fits nicely with the fan blowing down (normal position).
