Re: 2.5 BackPlane suggestions

The trays are also designed to accommodate 7mm to 9.5mm height hard drive and SSD, creating a 2.5" hot swap bay for any standard SATA hard drives and SSDs.

Re: 2.5 BackPlane suggestions

I don't see the need for 4 or 6 or whatever number of hotswap drive bays for enthusiasts? I would be much happier if something like this came out for 2.5" drives but taking up 2 cd bays, allowing 8-12 hdd's in total, either 8x 15mm or 12x 9.5mm Hot swap is not really necessary, but it makes everyth...

Re: 2.5 BackPlane suggestions

It looks really promising! from the website Next, I set the fan on high to see if I could notice any increased fan noise. I could barely hear any increase in noise produced by the fan on the high setting and unless you have a computer sitting right next to ear, I doubt you would hear anything substa...

Re: 2.5 BackPlane suggestions

I'm moving away from 3.5 cause silent drives in that size are difficult to find on retailers in my country.
2.5 drives produce less heat and much less noise.
I was hoping to find a good backplane for 2.5 cause now these are becoming common into enterprise servers.
Thank You
K.
